And Speaking of Festivals

As I wrote in my earlier post, festivals get cancelled and new festivals get created. I mentionned the Y-Prog Festival, the one being announced for 2013.

The Yorkshire Prog Festival will be a progressive rock festival with 16 bands over two stages. Originally scheduled as a two-day event, it was recently expanded to three days. As of today 10 bands are already booked with 6 more to be announced during the coming months, and it is an impressive roster: The Enid, The Tangent, IO Earth, It Bites, Riverside, Mangrove, Manning, Crimson Sky, Jump, and the Declan Burke Band. And this week they unveiled their logo, created by the great Ed Unitsky.

The event will take place on the 15th, 16th, and 17th of March 2013 at the Corporation in Sheffield. Ticket prices are £70 for the 3-day tickets, while the individual day ticket prices are to be announced later. The 3-day tickets go on sale this coming Tuesday, on May 8th 2012.
