Kansas to Launch Leftoverture 40th Anniversary Tour

America's preeminent progressive rock band Kansas will be touring select cities this fall celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their breakthrough album LeftovertureTo celebrate, for the first time in history, the band will be performing the album in its entirety.  The tour will showcase two hours of classic Kansas music including hit songs, deep cuts, and new songs from their soon to be released album, The Prelude Implicit.

In 1976, Kansas released the album Leftoverture. Containing the smash hit, and million-selling single Carry On Wayward Son, along with fan favorites such as The Wall, Miracles Out of Nowhere, and What's On My Mind, Leftoverture became the band's breakthrough album.

"This is incredibly exciting for the entire band, and hopefully our fans.  It's something we've never done before, play an album in its entirety, as part of a set.  Leftoverture was our breakthrough, and it's special that we are getting to celebrate it 40 years later.  We've never even played Questions of My Childhood live before.  I can't wait!"

Long Distance Calling Launch Video for Getaway

Long Distance Calling are set to release their new album TRIPS on April 29th, 2016 via InsideOut Music. With just a few weeks to go, the band have launched the brilliant 80's-inspired video for the albums opening track Getaway, featuring German actor Ralf Richter (Das Boot, Bang Boom Bang).

You can watch the video here:

The band had this to say:
"Ladies and Gents, here´s the brand new video clip for the song Getaway. It was great fun to work with German actor Ralf Richter (Bang Boom Bang, Das Boot, etc), who played in a lot of cool movies which we really like and which we grew up to. We are big fans of movies from the 80ties and you might get a taste of that in the clip. The video shoot was fun and as you can see in the video, it was probably more fun for him than for us, haha. Getaway is the opening track on TRIPS and we can´t wait to play it live. Tell all your friends!"
The band also recently launched a lyric video for Lines, featuring Norwegian vocalist Petter Carlsen. You can watch the video here:

Haken Release New Video and Add Tour Dates

Haken are set to release their fourth full-length studio album Affinity, on April 29th, 2016. With just a few short weeks to go, the band are pleased to launch a lyric video for brand new track The Endless Knot.

Check it out here:

The band had this to say:
"The Endless Knot explores ideas of human survival instinct and the power of unity in the face of extinction. Musically, you could say this is new territory for us as we've taken sounds from dance and electronica music and blended them with our own brand of rock/metal. The end result hopefully gives the song a nice and upbeat, energetic feel. The visuals loosely follow the life-cycle of a star and Miles Skarin at Crystal Spotlight did an awesome job with the animation on this one!"

They also recently released a video for the track Initiate which you can see here.
You can now digitally pre-order the album here.

Preorder the album on iTunes or Amazon and receive this track immediately:

THE HUMAN EQUATION STORY

After a mysterious single-car accident, the victim - a man in his late 30s - lies comatose in the hospital. Before the accident he was a powerful businessman, wildly successful by any measure but also known for his cutthroat business tactics. Now he finds himself trapped in a prison that took him a lifetime to build: the prison of his own mind.

Guarding the prison are his emotions, which have taken on vivid personas inside his mind. Some are friends, some are foes, and they all have their own agendas. Some aim to trick him or dominate him, others to comfort or inspire him. But the one objective they all share is to force him to face up to the demons of his past and the deep truths about who he is and how he's lived his life, all of which he's conveniently ignored until now. Fear, Rage, Agony, Love, Passion, Reason and Pride take turns engaging the man in this emotional warfare.

Two people hold vigil at the man's bedside: his wife and his best friend. They are desperate to understand how the accident happened and to see even the tiniest sign that the man will regain consciousness. But the man's recovery is not their only concern: is it possible that he somehow found out their secret, and that the "accident" wasn't really an accident at all? Would he ever be able to forgive them?

Will the man have the strength to face the truth about himself and the ones he loves? The story unfolds over his twenty-day emotional struggle with Fear, Rage, Agony, Love, Passion, Reason and Pride, in which each day of coma is represented by a song.
