Right on the heels of the release of their 20th Anniversary Box Set Edition of The Division Bell, the last album by David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Rick Wright, comes news that a new album is in the works.
The new album, titled The Endless River, was announced by Gilmour's wife and lyricist, Molly Samson.
Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called "The Endless River". Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright's swansong and very beautiful.—

Later that same day singer Durga McBroom-Hudson confirmed it by posting a picture of the background vocals recording sessions on her Facebook page.
It seems the recordings did start during the recordings of The Division Bell, and they are those referred to, at the time, by drummer Nick Mason as The Big Splif. These are recordings that started during jam sessions with Rick Wright, and it seems that Wright's playing will be left on these new recordings.
Originally it was to be a wholly instrumental album, but now Gilmour has started adding his vocals on some songs.
Now, is this what was originally thought to be the new Gilmour solo album re-cast as a Pink Floyd album, Or is his solo album put on hold so as to concentrate on these recordings? No official word has come out except for these social media posts, so stay tuned.
Tell me what you think!
