No New Show this Week
Hello everyone! There was no new show this week due to scheduling conflicts between my real world job and my radio show (which is, ironically, also in the real world, but you know what I mean!!).
I've done a couple of interviews for the radio show and I think you will all be pleased. First off is one I did with The Psychedelic Ensemble which will air soon. As you may or may not know, The Psychedelic Ensemble is a one man band from the US who chooses to remain anonymous. We talked about his influences, his carreer, and all three of his CDs under the TPE moniker, including his latest "The Dream of the Magic Jongleur". The second interview I recorded was done this past week with Eric Blackwood, one half of Edison's Children (the other being Pete Trewavas). This interview will also air shortly.
In the meantime I will post a list of upcoming CDs, I will update the Festival page, and, hopefully, will finish up some CD reviews (I have just received the wonderful new RPWL and the new Paul Cusick).
So, stay tuned, I will be back.

Next week on the IPRS
Next week on the UK 70s Prog Rock radio station we will celebrate the 100th International Prog Rock Show.
In honour of this milestone I will present the Top 15 CDs of 2011 as chosen by the listeners of the IPRS. I thank everyone that participated, either by e-mailing me, by writing their list here, or by sending me messages through Facebook. Of course, as I wrote and said on the radio show previously, four lucky people will receive 1 CD each, and they will be announced during the radio show, so be sure not to miss it.

It Was an Old Year Yesterday...
...But it's a New Year Now!
Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year's Eve. As for me, I had a wonderful time, if tiring, visiting family and having family and friends over for the holidays, and having turkey only once (yesterday we served some).
2011 was a fantastic year for prog. Statistically speaking this year had over 1161 releases (studio, live, singles, and DVD combined) of which I heard about 475 (not all of them good). That makes for a lot of listening. No wonder I didn't have the time to write reviews this year. But I did play most of those on the radio show.
2012 annouces itself as a great year for prog, with the long awaited release of the Chris Squire/Steve Hackett project Squackett, the long awaited return of polish band SBBthe new Landmarq release Entertaining Angels, a new Gazpacho CD titled March of Ghosts, a new Delusion Squared called II, the new Steve Hogarth and Richard Barbieri collaboration Not The Weapon But The Hand, a new Pendragon DVD called Out of Order Comes Chaos, Threshold's March of Progress CD, and maybe, just maybe, the new Echolyn.
