Turn On the (Internet) Radio

Last Sunday's show, April 25th 20010, is now available for download. We had a great interview with Jason Pomar and Edgel Groves, Jr. of Sun Domingo. This US band opened for two of the three nights of the Montreal Marillion Weekend 2009. Now they are releasing a live CD of their best performances from those two nights through Racket Records, Marillion's own label. You can view video of their performermance here. We also played new songs by Tunisian prog-metal band Myrath and by US eclectic prog band Mars Hollow, among others.
You can download the podcast here (Link no longer available)!

So after some editing, including our review of the CD since we talk about the songs being played, I give you a pared down version of last Sunday's show (28 March 2010). As soon as we are able to post the whole show, you'll be the first to know. The link is here (Links no longer available).

Living in the Limelight, the Universal Dream

Canadian rockers Rush will be inducted in the Canadian Songwriting Hall of Fame at the gala held at the Toronto Centre for the Arts on March 28th, 2010. The CSHF not only inducts the band but also five of their songs, and these are: Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio, Limelight, Closer to the Heart, and Subdivisions. As part of the induction, bands influenced by Rush will be performing renditions of their hits. Alexisonfire will be taking on “Tom Sawyer”, Primus frontman Les Claypool and his band will be playing “The Spirit Of Radio”, and Jacob Moon will be performing “Subdivisions”.

How I'd love to be there!
